Opportunity to be involved in Community Radio

President Orange Community Radio FM 107.5 John Da Rin spoke to the Drop-in Day Writers' Group on Friday about a fantastic opportunity to be involved with the community radio station. He said it was about expanding what the writer's group already do. "Radio is theatre of the mind, writers help listeners create their own picture and writing and radio are intertwined."
He suggested there was an opportunity to do a radio program, highlight material from the group, poetry, short stories, involve actors, do book reviews, author interviews, write anti-ads, write radio announcements, skits, current affairs and use humour. A previous project on radio plays had won a community radio award.
He said there were not enough people in the community utilising the service and the group could also reach audiences in and beyond Orange.
If you wish to get involved in Community Radio please contact the Central West Writers' Centre writing@orange.nsw.gov.au or John Da Rin at Orange Community Radio emailus@orangeradio.com.au
