Words from the Dust Writing Workshops for Over 50s

The Central West Writers' Centre was successful in receiving a Positive Ageing Grant from the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care to run a series of writing workshops for regional people aged over 50. The project aims to capture feelings about life on the land through storytelling. Workshop presenters Dr Noeline Kyle and Lorraine Purcell will help you get writing effortlessly about characters, events and places and provide practical advice on writing. Dr Noeline Kyle has published women's history, Australian history, biography/memoir and family history. Lorraine commenced her library career at the State Library and has been passionate about Australian history ever since. Both presenters are professionals in their field as well as experienced workshop facilitators.

The project also gives workshop participants the opportunity to be published on a dedicated Words from the Dust website created by Sauce Design and Central West Writers' Centre.
