Slessor to feature on new series Hidden Treasure

Learn more about poet Kenneth Slessor, he was born in Orange, when his illustrated and rarely seen notebook is featured on ABC TV's Hidden Treasures Inside the National Gallery of Australia series hosted by Betty Churcher. The new series begins tonight at 6.50pm with the story of artist Augustus Earle and his dog, Jemmy. The National Library of Australia is the country's largest reference library with more than nine million items in its collection, including a surprising number of art works. Churcher presents an insider's guide to some of the little known and rarely displayed art treasures held by the National Library. These are fascinating tales about the creative process and the works themselves that offer a tantalising insight into Australia's culture and heritage.
